Born in Montreal, Quebec, Helene painted and sketched since she was a child. The encouragement she received from her French Canadian grandmother, a gifted and prolific artist, remained with her until she retired to Qualicum Beach. There with her husband Ron Waldon’s support, she began her creative journey and was able to devote herself entirely to her lifelong dream of becoming an artist.

Helene is a member resident artist in TOSH 10 at the Old School House in Qualicum Beach, BC. She is an Active member and former president of the Arrowsmith Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists as well as an active member of the Nanaimo Chapter of the FCA, She is a member of the Oceanside Community Arts Centre in Parksville, BC and a member of the DeCosmos Art Group. Her paintings are held in private collections in Canada, the US, Germany, Belgium and the UK.
